From Hermosillo to the world, meet Eduardo Peralta, a true 39-year-old #AgroHero who knows no obstacles. Eduardo was born into a family devoted to agriculture. Although he chose to study business administration and finance in Guadalajara, his dream lay in the field. Life opened a door for him into agriculture through blueberries, so he began researching. That is how he found the best option for his project: hydroponics.

But it wasn't easy for Eduardo. He faced the obstacle of raising capital for the project, so he pitched his idea to several investors. They agreed, and he began looking for land where he could start growing. In 2019 he found a field in San Isidro Mazatepec that was, apparently, unproductive. He bought it and began running trials there, such as growth tests and varietal changeovers. He was advised to use coconut substrate in grow bags for his blueberry crop. Thanks to the good results, he also launched a new hydroponic raspberry project.

He has an innovative vision, backed by AgTech and hydroponics, to make ever-bigger dreams come true.

As he puts it: “I always dreamed of getting into agriculture, but it's not easy, so a couple of years ago I started from scratch: market analysis, blueberry studies, and meetings with investors so we could grow this crop hydroponically.”

And that has been the path of Eduardo Peralta, a man who knows all about entrepreneurship and overcoming barriers to entry, especially in berry exports. A born grower, in 2022 he managed to move more than 50% of his plants to hydroponics. The berry world counts Eduardo Peralta among its ranks: the #AgroHero who grew, pushed himself, and made his dream in the field come true, despite the setbacks.
