Three generations of
AGRICULTURAL INNOVATION
We started as farmers in 1951 in the Yaqui Valley in Sonora, Mexico, striving to produce food in difficult soils with little available water. This constant struggle drove the innovative spirit of engineer Raúl Mercado Ruvalcaba, who in 1955 began working hand in hand with Dr. Norman Bourlang (1970 Nobel Peace Prize) on the so-called “Green Revolution,” a movement that, thanks to agronomic research, succeeded in increasing agricultural productivity and fighting famine around the world.

After graduating with a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arizona, I set out on my adventure in international trade. I lived in China for more than 10 years, where I founded HUHU GLOBAL for logistics projects.
When I returned to my hometown of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, I reconnected with the working tradition of my grandfather and father, and over time, through my work, I discovered the technology that will undoubtedly help make food production at scale more sustainable: HYDROPONICS.
Today I am the head of operations at DIDIHU, and I am involved in product research and development. I am passionate about innovation in agriculture, logistics challenges and helping produce more food with less.

As a Marketing graduate of ITESO, I built my career in the creative field, working on brand design, commercial projects, marketing strategy consulting and restaurant concept development for technology companies in Mexico and the United States.
I believe in collaboration, agility, continuous innovation, telling great stories and, above all, unlearning in order to learn.
I am currently Creative and Strategy Director at DIDIHU, where I have been able to combine my profession with my great passions: gastronomy, wellness, technology, art and nature.
